About Big D

Back in 1934 at Sundance, Wyoming, Andy Policky built the 75-barrel-a day Crook County Refinery and started selling petroleum products at his service stations in Sundance and across the state line in Belle Fourche,SD. The Policky’s incorporated as Big D Oil Company in 1963, at which time Don Policky took over at the business.

The following decades brought many changes and upgrades including Convenience Stores, Carwashes and an Express Lube. Currently, they operate 28 retail locations in Western South Dakota and Eastern Wyoming. Most likely a Big D is located along your daily path and quickly provides quality products and services for you each day.
